Title I

What is a Title I School?
Title I is a federal education program.  Funds are distributed to high poverty schools, as determined by the number of students receiving free and reduced lunch, to provide academic support and learning opportunities for those students in the areas of reading, language arts, and mathematics.  These allocated funds can be used to hire additional teachers or teaching assistants to provide additional support for the children.
